We have a great opportunity for a long-term temp role within the Government Department, to join a fast-paced office as PA/Diary Manager.

About the Role

The role will cover activities required to support the Deputy Directors in their daily activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • First point of contact for partners, customers, staff and other stakeholders, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Managing the Director’s inbox, sorting emails, flagging urgent work and helping workflow.
  • Diary management, general team support and prioritising competing priorities.
  • Coordinating regular and ad-hoc meetings, booking rooms, catering and arranging travel and accommodation.
  • Delivering secretariat outputs for governance boards or key site meetings, including setting agendas, note taking, producing actions and monitoring outputs.
  • Handling a range of corporate tasks with discretion, tact and diplomacy and dealing appropriately with sensitive information.
  • Providing cover to support other PA workloads and building a support network.

  • Effective communication skills with a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders (orally and in writing).
  • Working on own initiative and prioritising workload to meet conflicting objectives.
