Overview
HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Belfast
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm (No weekends!)
Pay: From £16.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Up to 45 hours per week
Join a growing and reliable transport team! We\’re working with a leading local logistics provider who, due to continued business growth, is looking to add a skilled and dependable Class 1 HGV Driver to their team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stable weekday work with excellent rates of pay and a supportive working environment.
Responsibilities
- Driving Class 1 HGVs to deliver goods across Northern Ireland
- Handling container and curtainsiders trailer loads
- Ensuring goods are safely secured and delivered on time
- Performing daily vehicle checks (pre-trip and post-trip)
- Completing delivery paperwork and logging journeys
- Communicating with the Transport Team about routes, delays, and updates
- Adhering to all safety standards and road regulations
- Managing routes efficiently for timely and fuel-conscious deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Full Driver CPC & clean driving licence
- 2+ years of experience driving HGVs – particularly containers & curtainsiders
- Excellent understanding of road safety regulations
- Strong time management, communication, and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
