Admin Officer

Working Days / Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Full Time
Pay Rate: Β£13.25 per hour

Our Client is hiring for a reputed client, where your communication and administration will directly make hearings and court processes run smoothly.
What you'll be doing:
- Undertake administrative tasks to prepare for, facilitate, and support hearing activity
- Provide clear, consistent support to users and stakeholders via face-to-face, telephone (incoming/outbound), and correspondence in a range of formats
- Use service scripts and knowledge articles to signpost users to the right services and provide specific information for their query
- Follow complaints policies and procedures, supporting users through the process and responding promptly to help prevent escalation
- Update OPTIC as required and maintain accurate, secure case file handling with compliance to retention and data loss protocols
- Support jury service tasks including selection, deferral, reassignment, attendance tracking, and processing related expenses and court fees
- Assist with listing and scheduling, responding to urgent matters and adhering to listing policies
- Support enforcement procedures, including financial assessments, fine collection assistance, and producing basic statistical/financial reports
- Contribute to health and safety operations under team leader guidance (e.g., PEEPs, facility checks, issue logging and governance)
- Identify risks relating to HMCTS buildings and inform the Senior Person on Site (SPoS) as required
What you'll bring:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with people who may have specific or complex needs
- Confidence using scripts/knowledge guidance to provide accurate, consistent information
- A careful, detail-focused approach to administration, data entry, and secure information handling
- Professional judgement under pressure, with the ability to respond immediately where required
- A cooperative mindset-ready to support operational targets and maintain service standards
Additional information:
- Part of your role will include managing time-sensitive tasks across hearings, jury service, and court administration
