Administrative Officer – Lincoln 358 High Street Lincoln, Lincolnshire LN5 7QA £11.59ph rising to £11.88 after 12 weeks Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Job description Key purpose of the role Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement (Enforcement) is the part of HMCTS responsible in the main for the collection and enforcement of financial penalties imposed by the criminal courts and the subsequent disbursement of funds. Financial penalties include fines, costs, victim surcharge, and compensation to victims of crime. HMCTS takes the recovery and enforcement of financial impositions very seriously and remains committed to ensuring impositions are paid. The courts will do everything within their powers to trace those who do not pay and use a variety of means to ensure the recovery of criminal fines and financial penalties. Money can be deducted from an offender's earnings or benefits. Other 'upfront' compliance actions include increased use of telephone and text message chasing and use of tracing tools. Warrants can be issued instructing approved enforcement agents to seize and sell goods belonging to the offender. You will help deliver HMCTS' responsibilities for the enforcement of Fines, Community Penalty Breach Warrants, and other enforcement work.
