Executive Officer – Deployment Location: B19 3BN – Solihull; Travel: up to 5 days per week including overnight stays; Deployment role: various locations across the country; Hourly rate: £15.53; Working days/hours: 37 hours: Monday‑Friday. Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their AMLO team. This demanding and challenging hands‑on role is set in a unique fast‑paced working environment and offers a wide range of development opportunities. Staff will provide day‑to‑day support and advice to customers across the UK, preparing them for move‑on from asylum support. The role combines face‑to‑face and virtual engagements, resolves blockers through escalations, and works closely with the HEO AMLO team and operational leads to identify issues and seek resolutions. Experience Needed / Desired A passion for delivery, a solution‑focused attitude and resilience to challenges. Experience working under pressure and balancing competing priorities to meet both short‑ and longer‑term deadlines while maintaining high quality. Ability to multi‑task, manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and react quickly and calmly to changing circumstances. Duties / Responsibilities Manage caseloads and maintain trackers for the respective area, flexing to other regional areas as required. Retrieve and direct data to HEO Team leads for logistical planning. Respond to emails from various sources timely and appropriately. Escalate issues that cannot be resolved immediately to various teams across the Home Office and potentially externally. Communicate with customers via phone (using translation services when needed). Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders. Demonstrate civil service values and standards of behaviour as a role model to other colleagues. Provide advice, guidance, and support to customers on site in a face‑to‑face environment and to on‑site corporate stakeholders. Respond to and refer cases for safeguarding, police or security incidents. Additional duties as required depending on demand and emerging priorities. Record keeping on Excel and other IT systems. Training This physically demanding operational role requires candidates to complete personal safety training at Level 2. Completion is mandatory; failure to complete precludes undertaking the role. Clearance Level Enhanced DBS + CTC (Counter Terrorism Clearance) Role Specific Requirements Valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle. Valid passport and have lived in the UK for longer than five years; no period of six months or longer abroad in the last five years. Security clearance will be processed if successful.
