Are you an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager ready for your next step?
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a 4-bed children's residential home in Coventry, supporting young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role, supporting the Registered Manager while helping to create a safe, nurturing and positive home where young people can thrive.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
- Leading shifts and managing the home in the Manager's absence
- Leading, motivating and supporting the residential care team
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Supporting young people with EBD, trauma and challenging behaviours
- Supporting care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans
- Maintaining high standards in line with Ofsted requirements
- Supporting Regulation 44/45 processes and quality assurance
- Working closely with social workers, schools and other professionals
- Supporting staff supervision, development and performance
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
ESSENTIAL: You must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People's Residential Care or equivalent.
You will also need:
- Experience working in a children's residential home
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD
- Senior/Team Leader/Deputy experience or strong leadership experienceGood knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
- Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Confidence leading shifts and supporting a staff team
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
