Executive Officer - Food Standards Agency

Location: London SW1E 6QP

Working Days / Hours: 37 hours

Working Pattern: 9-5.30 Monday to Thursday and 9.30-5.30 Friday with 1 hour for lunch break each day.

Pay Rate: £17.32 per hour

Our Client is hiring a temporary Agency Temp to support their Business Services work streams in a busy London office, helping deliver key day‑to‑day services with confidence and care.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the planning and delivery of meetings and events (internal and external)
  • Manage financial administration, including raising purchase orders and processing invoice payments
  • Collate and share management information to support decision-making
  • Provide facilities support for the London Office, ensuring it's ready for day‑to‑day activity
  • Book travel, accommodation, and car hire as required
  • Handle public enquiries on food hygiene, business start‑ups, and general enquiries via telephone and email
  • Help the Business Services team drive workflow, allocation, and continuous improvement
  • Build an understanding of other Business Services work streams and flex to support where needed

What you'll bring:

  • Strong work planning and prioritisation skills‑able to stay on top of competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with great customer service instincts
  • Confident delivery of services with minimal day‑to‑day supervision
  • A friendly, professional approach‑especially when dealing with public enquiries
