Location: Canterbury

Salary: £32k per annum (+ Overtime)

Shifts: 7.30am-10.30pm + 1 sleep in per week

Hours: 45 hours per week (one day on, one day off + 1 sleep in per week)

We are recruiting Residential Childcare Workers to join a brand new home that provides care for children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD).

About the home:

  • The home is a beautiful 5 bedded house located in Canterbury, around 5 minutes away from Kent & Canterbury Hospital.
  • There are good bus routes to the service, and Canterbury East station is a 20 minute walk away.
  • The home has a large garden, with a chicken coop, herb and vegetable patch, and space to develop more facilities.
  • The home itself has been refurbished to a high spec, creating a warm, homely and spacious environment for the young people.
  • There is a games room, workout room, large spacious modern kitchen, and two bathrooms.

About The Role:

You will provide consistent care, guidance and emotional support to young people who may have experienced trauma and disruption. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.

  • Experience working with children or young people (residential desirable but not essential)

  • Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins
  • Commitment to safeguarding and professional development
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards) is desirable.
