Location: Bristol

Pay Rate:

  • Weekdays: £12.21 per hour
  • Weekends: £12.74 per hour

Contract Type: Part-time (24 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: Mixed shifts between 08:00-20:00 and 20:00-08:00, including weekends and some Bank Holidays on a rota basis.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide advice, assistance, and support to young people aged 16-24 years old. You will attend to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, act as a positive role model, and work closely with them to help address challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality support that meets the physical, emotional, social, and cultural needs of young people.
  • Provide a caring and nurturing environment where young people feel safe and supported.
  • Build positive relationships and offer unconditional positive regard.
  • Support independent living skills (budgeting, cooking, cleaning, job seeking).
  • Act as a key worker or co-worker, ensuring support plans are up to date.
  • Provide emotional support during times of stress and difficulty.
  • Encourage community engagement and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and attend regular meetings.
  • Uphold confidentiality and safeguarding protocols.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
  • Physical fitness.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.

Desirable:

  • NVQ2/SVQ2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teenagers and Young People.
