Accounts & Finance Manager Stockport – £40,000 – £42,000 – Office based We're looking for a pro-active, resourceful person to head an Accounts Department, to work with external accountants and existing team members across a group of branches. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills in addition to the expected bookkeeping skill set. You will be an adept communicator who can engage with all levels of co-workers, as well as our suppliers and key customers. Key responsibilities: Prepare quarterly management accounts with commentary for presentation to the board Manage a small team with responsibilities for purchase ledger, and credit control (retail and corporate) Balance sheet reconciliation Bank reconciliation Overseeing bookkeeping (Sage 200c) Cashflow modelling and forecasting Liaising with external sources of finance VAT reconciliation and submission Preparation of data for external accountants for year-end, trial balance etc. Manage weekly payroll and salary accountingYour Skills and Qualifications: Strong accounting & bookkeeping experience (at least three years) Would suit CIMA/ACA/ACCA/AAT (including part qualified or Qualified By Experience) Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with using Sage 200c or ERP software would be preferable Advanced Excel & Reporting skills Demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written skills Strong Organisational & I.T. skills Proa…
