To join a busy Builders Merchants in the Aberystwyth area.

Working Monday - Friday days only and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings 8am - 12 noon.

We're seeking a driven Assistant Branch Manager to support the successful running of a busy branch, working closely with the Branch Manager to deliver outstanding customer service, drive sales performance, and lead a motivated team.

Key Responsibilities Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch and deputise in their absence.

Drive sales performance by identifying customer needs, providing quotations, and maximising opportunities with both new and existing customers.

Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring a first-class service experience.

Assist with branch merchandising, stock management, and supplier relationships.

Monitor local market activity, competitor trends, and customer demand to help develop branch growth strategies.

Support financial performance through effective stock control, debtor management, cash collection, and profit improvement initiatives.

Help lead, motivate, and develop the branch team, ensuring high standards, productivity, and compliance with company procedures.

Support recruitment, training, coaching, and ongoing development of staff.
