We are looking for an empathetic and driven Rough Sleeper Navigator to join our dynamic team in Southend-on-Sea. You will provide intensive end-to-end support to individuals experiencing rough sleeping, helping them access essential services, secure housing, and begin the journey to recovery and independence. Location: Southend-on-Sea (SS1)
Salary: £14.54 per hour
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week
Shifts: Early (6am-2pm) / Late (4pm-12am), including weekends and bank holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive outreach based on Street Link alerts and local intelligence
- Support clients with complex needs including housing, substance misuse, mental and physical health, and offending behaviour
- Offer tailored one-to-one interventions using a trauma-informed and psychologically informed approach
- Act as a single point of contact, advocating with partner services such as health, housing, and welfare
- Help clients develop life skills (e.g., budgeting, hygiene, diet) and support them in maintaining tenancies
- Maintain accurate records and case notes on our database systems

- Experience working with individuals with complex or multiple needs
- Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and services
- Ability to build trust with vulnerable individuals through a person-centred, recovery-focused approach
- Confident in managing conflict and building effective partnerships
- A flexible and proactive team player, willing to work shifts across mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
