We are looking for an experienced Responsible Individual to join a well-established children's residential provider in Wales, overseeing a small group of high-quality homes. This is an excellent opportunity for a values-driven leader who wants to provide strong oversight, maintain compliance, and ensure children receive the highest standard of care and support.
The Role
Working closely with Registered Managers, you will ensure each home delivers safe, nurturing, child-centred care in line with CIW requirements. You will provide strategic oversight, help drive continuous improvement, and act as a visible, supportive leader across the services. This role offers genuine flexibility, with the option to work 1 day from home and 2 days on site, allowing you to maintain strong presence while balancing your week effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to Registered Managers
- Ensuring all homes remain fully compliant with CIW regulations
- Championing high-quality therapeutic care and safeguarding practice
- Driving service development and continuous improvement
- Supporting governance, audits, reporting, and quality assurance processes

What You Will Need
- Experience as a Responsible Individual or senior manager within children's residential care
- Strong understanding of the Social Services and Well-being Act and CIW regulations
- A child-centred leadership approach with a commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to build trusting relationships with managers, staff, and external partners
