We are now seeking a Supported Accommodation Service Manager to support the ongoing development of our services and prepare for the implementation of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping high-quality supported accommodation provision for children and young people.
This role requires an experienced and motivated leader, confident operating at service management level, acting as a role model for staff, and contributing to senior leadership. Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to professional development are essential.
This role involves overseeing three Zonal Managers across services in Kirklees, Bradford and Calderdale.
Service Overview:
- Kirklees:
- One 5-bed group living service
- One 6-bed group living service
- Outreach support supporting approximately 5-7 young people
- Two 5-bed group living services
- Outreach support supporting approximately 6 young people
- Two 6-bed group living services
- Outreach support supporting approximately 13-14 young people
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and supporting three Zonal Managers across the region
- Leading on staff training and development
- Managing safeguarding concerns, strategy discussions, and escalations
- Supporting HR processes including recruitment, interviews and performance management
- Overseeing quality assurance and service compliance
- Attending and contributing to key meetings relating to young people

Essential Criteria:
- A genuine commitment to supporting children and young people
- NVQ / ILM Level 5 in Caring for Children and Young People (or working towards)
- Experience within supported accommodation or similar services for children and young people
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004 and safeguarding guidance
- Good communication and IT skills
