Brook Street are delighted to offer an experienced Registered Manager an exciting opportunity to manage an established care home, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Welsh countryside. The newly decorated residential care home offers a warm and supportive environment for adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities who are supported by a dedicated team.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and qualified Registered Residential Manager to lead our dedicated team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations and delivering the highest standard of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong, empathetic leadership to staff and residents, promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and empowerment.
  • Ensure the home is fully compliant with CIW regulations and other relevant statutory and legal requirements.
  • Oversee and improve care practices in line with current legislation and best practices.
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
  • Develop person-centred care plans tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
  • Foster positive relationships with families, external stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns with professionalism, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
  • There is an on call element 3 weekdays and 1 in every 3 weekends (annual leave protected)

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Registered or eligible for registration with Social Care Wales
  • Strong working knowledge of CIW regulations
  • Experience in caring for adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, compassionate, and resident-focused approach
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to own transport (due to rural location)
