Please do not apply for this role unless you meet the essential criteria outlined below. My client is looking for a PA / Executive Assistant to join their team within the NHS. This is a temporary 6 month contract with the potential to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Operations and Business Manager and Clinical Director.
- Arrange and minute meetings and circulate agendas.
- Recruitment processes, including interview scheduling and onboarding processes.
- Support Practice Managers on daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records including staff annual leave, sickness and HR documentation.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and routine administrative tasks.
- Maintain and update staff handbooks and business policies.
- Confidently manage communications, prioritising urgent matters and ensuring professional, prompt responses.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A candidate who is highly organised and IT literate.
- A strong communicator - both written and verbal.
- Experienced in administrative roles, ideally with minute-taking skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Flexible, motivated and solutions-focused.
Essential Criteria:
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths (Grade C or above).
- Proven experience in administrative duties.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Confident telephone manner and professional approach.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working in a GP surgery or Primary Care setting.
- Familiarity with SystmOne.
- Own transport.
