Our client is looking to expand their maintenance team and have an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor reporting directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager.

Role includes:

  • Ensuring maintenance employees apply safe working practices.
  • Develop safe Systems of Work for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure assets are maintained in a safe condition.
  • Ensure environmental equipment is properly maintained.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings.
  • Develop and manage people resource plan.
  • Pro-active maintenance, including predictive and conditioned based tools.
  • Root cause analysis.
  • Assess spare parts requirements.
  • Control use of contract labour.
  • Technical troubleshooting.
  • Manage maintenance contractor spending for the business area within budget.

Skills/knowledge:

  • Candidate should demonstrate safety awareness and working knowledge of policy, standards and beliefs, ensuring same is present with colleagues.
  • Maintain safe environment.
  • Be aware of environmental/H&S issues, and ensuring systems are in place to deal with any issues.
  • Preference will be given to mechanical qualifications.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with manufacturing/production experience - preferable factory based.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who live around the Inverness area.

Excellent salary is offered to the right candidate. This is a permanent position, interviews are being arranged shortly, hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with the requirement for additional hours worked during maintenance shutdowns as required.
