Job Description

HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Belfast
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm (No weekends!)
Pay: From £16.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Up to 45 hours per week

We're working with a leading local logistics provider who, due to continued business growth, is looking to add a skilled and dependable Class 1 HGV Driver to their team.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering stable weekday work with excellent rates of pay and a supportive working environment.
What You'll Be Doing:

  • Driving Class 1 HGVs to deliver goods across Northern Ireland
  • Handling container and curtainsiders trailer loads
  • Ensuring goods are safely secured and delivered on time
  • Performing daily vehicle checks (pre-trip and post-trip)
  • Completing delivery paperwork and logging journeys
  • Communicating with the Transport Team about routes, delays, and updates
  • Adhering to all safety standards and road regulations
  • Managing routes efficiently for timely and fuel-conscious deliveries

Criteria

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

Full Driver CPC & clean driving licence
2+ years of experience driving HGVs – particularly containers & curtainsiders
Excellent understanding of road safety regulations
Strong time management, communication, and organisational skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work overtime when required
