The Opportunity
We are delighted to be partnering with a growing and successful Belfast-based business to recruit an ambitious and commercially focused Finance Manager.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of the finance function, lead a small finance team, and play a key role in supporting strategic business growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, improving processes, and providing valuable commercial insight to support decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day transactional finance functions across the business and associated group companies.
- Manage working capital and cash flow to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in accordance with reporting deadlines.
- Ensure an effective and proactive credit control function.
- Drive continuous improvement and maximise efficiencies within the Sage Intacct accounting system.
- Support the Finance Director in developing financial reporting, data analytics, and business insights through Sage Intacct and Power BI.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all tax returns, statutory submissions, and related payments.
- Prepare audit files and act as the key liaison with external auditors throughout the annual audit process.
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls, governance procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Provide commercial analysis and recommendations to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Support additional finance-related projects and business initiatives as required.
Essential Criteria
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or similar senior finance role.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly within Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing or supervising a small team.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience using Sage Intacct and/or Power BI.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of product costing and stock accounting.
- Experience supporting systems implementation or process improvement projects.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Opera, Accura, or similar platforms.
