Working for an established provider of care and support to children, the organisation is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural issues. With a strong commitment to professional development and a focus on teamwork, they are looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to help them continue their mission of delivering high-quality support to children and young people.

The role:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the children residential home near Preston.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Support the development and implementation of care plans for children and young people.

  • Supervise and mentor staff, promoting a positive and professional working environment.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance team performance.

  • Promote a culture of safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all children and young people.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People or equivalent.

  • Experience in a supervisory role within children services.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in residential children services.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

  • Knowledge of OFSTED guidelines and legislation

  • Be flexible to work Mon – Fri and on shift where required.
