Brook Street Social Care are excited to be working alongside a well-established care service supporting children and young people within residential homes across the North West. Senior Residential Support Worker – Children and Young People Longton, Preston 1 on 2 off shifts plus sleeps Full time hours £13.23 per hour £55 per sleep Driving Licence- Essential This excellent and family run children’s service has 5 residential homes in total across the North West of England – no more than 3 young people in 1 service and each home of up to 3 beds. We are looking for compassionate, caring individuals to join our team of children’s residential support workers. Previous experience of at least 1 year supporting children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviours is desirable and the ability to work across more than one service as staff are often required to work on rotation across services. The role:- The Senior Residential Care Worker is responsible for the young people whilst on duty. They are responsible for promoting a positive safe and homely environment for all young people within the home. They will promote best practice and therapeutic parenting within their teams, in accordance with the service’s policies and procedures. This may include: – Providing a safe and caring home to the children and young people. To follow and implement the delivery of the individual care plans as directed by the Registered Manager and to ensure that care and support is provided and maintained. Providing emotional support and companionship. Enabling the young people to participate in activities and events in the community. Supporting the young people to become independent – such as finances, appointments. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting to your supervisor.
