Our client is seeking a Residential Childcare Support Workers to join their ever-expanding team within the North West on a full time and permanent basis . This is a service where bespoke therapeutic care packages are devised and tailored to meet the specific needs of each young person in their care. They are passionately driven to make changes to the lives and emotional well-being of every child the team looks after. Job Purpose: As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, your role will be to support children and young people in a homely environment to meet their individual needs and make a real positive impact on their lives. To ensure that children are safeguarded at all times. This role would include: Be a part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people in order for them to create lasting memories Make children feel safe and secure and act as a positive role model in order to meet their everyday needs Provide emotional support to allow children to overcome boundaries and limitations Role model a passion for learning and empower children to make their own decisions about themselves Build trust and promote positive relationships Celebrate children’s achievements and help them find pleasure in everyday tasks Carry out day to day household duties such as cooking, cleaning and washing Manage delegated finances/budgets appropriately and responsibly, ensuring accurate receipts are recorded and submitted To achieve (if not already acquired) a Diploma Level 3 in Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Qualification Salary: £12.75 per hour plus £40 per sleep in. Overtime rate available. Forecasted yearly salary between £30,000 and £36,000 per annum. To be successful you must Holds relevant experience within a children’s residential care setting Ideally you will hold a full UK driving license It is preferred that you hold a Level 3/4 qualification in Children and Young People or willing to work towards You must be flexible to work in unpredictable and varied circumstances Be flexible to work shifts of 2 on 3 off including a sleep in (8am – 10pm, sleep in, 8am – 10pm) The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, able to prioritise and organise, children centred, positive and approachable.
