Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver to join our client on a rolling temporary contract. This role will primarily involve forklift truck operation, supporting the safe movement, storage, and dispatch of heavy items within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading heavy items from vehicles
- Moving and placing heavy items into racking locations
- Retrieving machines from racking for dispatch
- Ensuring all loads are handled carefully and stored securely
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Role Details
The role is primarily FLT driving with minimal picking/packing duties, if any. Handling large items requires careful and precise forklift operation.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence/certification (within the last three years)
- Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment
- Comfortable handling large or bulky items
- Good awareness of warehouse health and safety practices
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
