I am looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic group of professionals committed to excellence and innovation in care in Yorkshire. You will play a key part in supporting recovery and promoting independence through high-quality interventions in a mental health supported living setting. In this supportive environment, you will collaborate closely with colleagues who share a passion for improving lives.

Our team includes:

  • A Consultant Clinical Psychologist who also serves as Head of Therapy
  • A Lead Occupational Therapist
  • A Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist
  • A Specialist Occupational Therapist
  • Additional Occupational Therapists, together with an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Three Assistant Psychologists

You will work alongside a fellow Band 5 Occupational Therapist and an Assistant Psychologist, ensuring that you are fully supported through dedicated supervision from a Band 7 OT who oversees services in both Yorkshire and Lancashire, as well as further guidance from the Lead OT and Head of Therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and group interventions designed to enhance daily living skills and promote social inclusion.
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans that address the unique journey of each service user.
  • Contributing to the development of Occupational Therapy pathways and participating in initiatives that drive service enhancements.
  • Offering support across three sites in Halifax and Seacroft, Leeds. Travel between sites will be ad-hoc and driven by service user needs - with mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.

Experience Required:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • At least 6 months post-graduate experience, preferably within mental health settings.
  • A proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a varied caseload, and who demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and service users.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a car, due to the requirement for multi-site travel.
