Brook Street Recruutment are currently working on behalf of our client in Doagh who are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Coordinator to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and commercially aware individual who enjoys building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
As a Sales Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting customers, processing orders, managing enquiries, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and internal departments. You will work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Complete customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation) accurately and efficiently.
- Negotiate pricing and lead times with customers where appropriate.
- Process customer orders and ensure all information is accurately recorded.
- Manage and resolve customer enquiries regarding orders, deliveries, and product availability.
- Conduct regular customer engagement activities to maintain positive relationships.
- Facilitate and support customer business review meetings.
- Maintain accurate pricing and margin information within company systems.
- Analyse customer schedules and demand patterns to ensure stock availability.
- Obtain and maintain up-to-date forecast information from key customers.
- Produce monthly sales forecasts and account analysis reports.
- Generate customer KPI reports as required.
Administration & Operational Support
- Create commercial invoices and support customer declarations where required.
- Investigate and resolve empty bin queries in conjunction with customers and the Purchasing team.
- Review and resolve invoice exceptions in a timely manner.
- Coordinate activities relating to customer quality concerns and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Liaise with warehouse operations to ensure the timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Ensure all customer information and activity is maintained accurately within company systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across customer service and sales processes.
- Carry out any other duties as reasonably required by management.
Purchasing Support (where required)
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing and lead times.
- Source and resource products to meet customer requirements.
- Place purchase orders with suppliers.
- Monitor and progress supplier purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
Criteria
- Previous experience in a Sales Support, Sales Administration, Customer Service, Account Management, or Coordinator role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
