Assistant Residential Support Worker – Children & Young People Salary: £25,922 – £28,624 (pro rata for 25 hours per week) Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for committed and resilient individuals to join our team as Assistant Residential Support Workers in a secure, supportive, and structured environment that prioritises the welfare and development of the young people in our care. Key Responsibilities: Promote the best interests of children and young people, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes. Work proactively with children who may display challenging behaviours, ensuring they have access to advocacy and complaints procedures. Act as a consistent advocate for the children and young people in your care. Communicate effectively and professionally-verbally, non-verbally, and in writing. Apply knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and safeguard best practices. Implement and follow behaviour management strategies, including those learned through MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training.
