Support Assistant (Temp to Perm) Location: NN3 Pay: £13.56 per hour (£14 per hour) Hours: 22.2 hours per week, 35 working weeks per year Contract: Temporary to Permanent We are recruiting for a caring and dedicated Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support to learners with additional needs within a college setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping students access learning, build confidence and achieve their educational goals. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one support throughout the college day. Assist learners in accessing lessons and practical activities. Support students with their academic, social and personal development. Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning. Assist with personal care where required. Monitor progress and maintain accurate records. Work closely with teaching staff and support teams. Promote safeguarding, equality and inclusion at all times. Requirements Previous experience in a support, care, education or SEND environment. Experience supporting young people or vulnerable individuals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, compassionate and reliable approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities. Desirable Experience working with SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH or EHCPs. Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker.
