Full job description Our client a supported living service in Kendal, Cumbria. The facility offers bespoke accommodation in the form of self contained units with communal areas. The service supports individuals with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities and other complex needs. The role includes manual handling and the delivery of personal care for some individuals. The role further involves providing outcome focused support, enabling people to live as independently as possible in their own home – building skills, independence and vocation. All staff will be supporting individuals with daily living skills, community access, medication and attending appointments. We are looking for flexible, reliable and committed staff to join our team, to cover a variety of hours and shift patterns including days and nights. We are looking for full time (37.5 hours) All staff will be required to work flexibly across a 7 day rota in order to meet the needs of the people we support. Full induction training will be provided however some experience of working in a similar setting is desirable as the circumstances of the people being supported will be complex. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
