Qualified Social Worker Wanted Β£24 per hour | August – November Contract, Working in Plymouth Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable families and delivering life-changing outcomes in residential settings? We\’re seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our team for a short-term contract, making a meaningful impact across two specialist family centres. About the Role In this vital role, you\’ll: Conduct residential parental assessments in line with court/local authority timescales Support placement planning through care plans, risk assessments and professional collaboration Deliver structured feedback and developmental activities that empower parents to achieve safe and positive change Complete viability assessments, contribute to service improvement, and uphold compliance with Ofsted, CQC, and statutory requirements Model trauma-informed, person-centred practice Play a key role in safeguarding, child protection, and working within complex family court proceedingsPerson Specification We\’re looking for a candidate with: Social Work Qualification and 2+ years\’ experience in statutory settings Robust knowledge of child protection legislation, family law, and safeguarding protocols Experience working with children and families in residential services Commitment to equality, diversity, and non-discriminatory care practices Excellent communication and report-writing skillsDesirable Skills Training in PAMS, CUBAS, or similar parenting assessment frameworks Understanding of parental substance misuse, mental health, and other socio-economic challenges Appreciation for trauma-informed approaches and rehabilitation pathwaysWhy Join Us?
