Your Role & Impact
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital leadership role supporting the wellbeing of our residents while guiding and mentoring junior team members. Working closely with our management team, you will ensure each individual receives personalised, high-quality care with dignity, empathy, and respect.
What You Will Do:
- Support residents with personal care, mobility, and emotional needs
- Lead shifts confidently and provide hands-on guidance to colleagues
- Contribute to and review person-centred care plans
- Carry out and update risk assessments
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Liaise with healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care
- Maintain clear documentation and uphold safeguarding practices
- Promote choice, independence, and dignity in all aspects of care
What We Are Looking For:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
- NVQ Level 3 (or willingness to achieve it)
- Experience supporting older adults in a care setting
- Leadership skills and experience running a shift
- Medication administration training and confidence in safe practice
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Up-to-date Manual Handling and First Aid training
- A calm, patient, and practical approach
