Working for an established reputable organisation who pride themselves on supporting vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, ABI and those with autism. We are seeking a skilled Team Leader to join their team.

The role

  • To lead and supervise a team of support staff within a service for 2 adults with learning disability and mental health issues near to Rochdale.
  • To be able to coordinate team activities, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain high standards of care and support.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to foster a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, and any safeguarding concerns.
  • Support with supervisions of staff and ensure all team members have the relevant training required.
  • Monitor staff attendance and support with return to work meetings and any appraisal process.
  • Be flexible to work on a shift basis covering a 2 week rolling rota which will include alternate weekends.
  • Be flexible to participate in the on call system 1 in 4 weeks with extra payment of Β£25 per week.

Ideal candidate

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.
  • Ability to support and motivate others and encourage a positive working culture and environment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities, leading by example at all times.
  • Level 3 Health and Social care or equivalent.
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle.
  • A positive and 'Can do' attitude with the ability to support others and work in a person centred way.
