You will be supporting adults with disabilities within the home and potentially the local community. Your role will be to encourage people to live their lives to the fullest through various means, whether this is emotional and/or physical support through fulfilling life skills and house tasks in addition to helping engage within their local community.
Additionally, you may be involved in in-house and community-based activities including going to the cinema, meals, day trips and medical appointments. In addition to providing high-quality care and support, you will aid in building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
You will ideally be a driver with access to your own vehicle.
Location: RCT
Hours: Flexible
Pay rate: From Β£12.21+ (PAYE - not via umbrella). Holiday pay is separate, NOT inclusive of your hourly pay, i.e. Β£12.21 + holiday pay.
Requirements:
- 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
- Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
- Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
- Willing to undertake personal care
- To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the service users
- Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
