Our client, a respected and high-quality provider of residential care for children, is seeking a passionate, experienced, and inspirational Registered Manager to lead one of their homes.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and develop a warm, nurturing, and safe home environment where children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
  • Ensure all aspects of care meet the highest standards, with effective implementation of each child's individual Placement Plan.
  • Work collaboratively with health, education, and therapeutic professionals to support children's development and wellbeing.
  • Maintain full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted SCCIF, ensuring the home operates to the highest regulatory and professional standards.
  • Inspire, support, and develop your team through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including safeguarding, health & safety, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Promote a positive culture centred on openness, inclusivity, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Manage budgets, occupancy, and staffing rotas while ensuring the home remains a safe, clean, and homely environment.

What you'll bring

  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams within a residential childcare setting.
  • Strong organisational, IT, and time management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and undertake sleep-in duties when required.
  • Existing Ofsted registration as a Registered Manager (or eligibility to achieve this).
