Registered Manager β Children\βs Residential Home (Ages 8-17)
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and resilient Registered Manager to lead a children\βs residential home supporting young people aged 8-17 years. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality, child-centred care in line with the Children\βs Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, ensuring positive and lasting outcomes for all young people.
You will provide strong, visible leadership, create a safe and nurturing environment, and develop a skilled, motivated staff team. The role requires excellent safeguarding practice, effective care planning, and confident engagement with external professionals including local authorities, education, and health services.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of the home in line with the Statement of Purpose
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people aged 8-17
- Leading, supervising, and developing staff through training, supervision, and appraisals
- Ensuring compliance with Children\βs Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements
- Overseeing care planning to meet emotional, behavioural, educational, cultural, and health needs
- Managing staffing rotas, budgets, health & safety, and resources effectively
- Working in partnership with families, social workers, and multi-agency professionals
- Creating a positive, stable, and aspirational culture within the home
Requirements
- Level 3 Children\βs & Young Persons Workforce qualification
- QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or willingness to study towards
- Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in children\βs residential care
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership, organisational, and people-management skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people
