We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a specialist residential assessment service supporting children and young people aged 7–18 years.

You will:

- Lead, supervise and motivate residential care staff
- Promote a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment
- Support care planning, assessments and risk management
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding practice

- Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers and other professionals
- Ensure practice remains compliant with Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes Quality Standards
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required

- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential home within the last 5 years
- Minimum 1 year’s experience supervising or managing staff within a care setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people
- Full UK driving licence
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK
An interest in outdoor activities is important, as young people have opportunities to take part in outdoor and adventure-based experiences as part of their support.
What’s on Offer
Alongside a salary of £34,000 – £39,000, you’ll benefit from ongoing training and development, career progression opportunities, paid induction training, wellbeing support, employee discounts and an additional day off for your birthday.
