Deputy Manager 2 Bedded Children's EBD Home (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties) Location: Manchester (Walkden) Salary: £38,600 per annum plus sleeps Join Our Client in a role where your leadership makes a real difference. Hiring for a reputed client, this is an opportunity to help create a warm, homely environment in a 2-bedded EBD home-supporting children with physical, social and emotional care that exceeds expectations. What you'll be doing: Work closely with the Registered Manager to plan, organise and manage the home day to day Support the preparation, delivery and review of individual care plans to encourage positive life skills and growth Help ensure smooth admissions for new children, in line with policies and procedures Lead by example-guiding and supporting Senior and Residential Practitioners so the home runs confidently and safely Maintain robust staffing levels and effective communication across the team Identify training needs and help ensure the team's skills match the needs of the home Help manage risks and uphold health, safety and welfare requirements (including fire safety precautions) Take overall management responsibility when the Registered Manager is absent, ensuring continuity of care Support new staff induction alongside the Registered Manager Be available for on-call duties for advice and support during emergencies Build strong relationships with referring agencies and contribute to vacancy support Attend meetings, reviews and case conferences as required, working alongside social services and other professionals What you'll bring: Confidence leading a team and supporting others with clarity, guidance and encouragement A genuine commitment to empowering individuality, independence and communication for children Strong organisation and the ability to coordinate resources to keep standards high Good judgement and a calm approach to safety, well being and decision-making A collaborative mindset-comfortable working with a wider network of professionals Availability for a 40-48 hour week with flexibility to cover shifts as needed Additional information: A relevant qualification (such as a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care) is essential Enhanced (Adults and Children's) DBS is desirable Full UK driving license required If you're ready to support a caring team and help children thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
