Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Care

Birmingham - Yardley Wood, Kings Heath, Moseley & Oldbury

Full-Time | Permanent | 160 hours per month

Are you an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join an established children's residential care provider across Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on more responsibility, support other members of the team and make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting children and young people within a residential setting
  • Safeguarding and promoting their welfare
  • Supporting colleagues and helping lead shifts
  • Managing challenging behaviour and using de-escalation techniques
  • Supporting care plans, risk assessments and behaviour plans
  • Encouraging independence, education and positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

What we need from you:

  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, Children & Young People, Health & Social Care or equivalent - Essential
  • Minimum 1 year's children's residential experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence - Essential
  • Access to your own car - Essential
  • Strong safeguarding and EBD experience
  • Flexibility to work weekends and sleep-ins
