We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead an Ofsted-registered supported accommodation service for young people aged 16-17. This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for regulatory compliance, safeguarding, staff management, and service quality.
You will provide strong operational leadership, ensure excellent outcomes for young people, and drive continuous improvement in line with Ofsted standards and the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Lead and prepare for Ofsted inspections, including post-inspection action plans
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring robust safeguarding systems
- Lead, manage, and develop staff through supervision, appraisal, and training
- Oversee quality assurance, audits, care planning, and outcome monitoring
- Manage day-to-day operations including health & safety and property standards
- Build strong relationships with Local Authorities and external partners
- Proven experience in an Ofsted-regulated service
- Previously registered as an Ofsted Registered Manager or senior leader within an Ofsted setting
- Direct experience working with 16-17-year-olds within the last two years
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks, Supported Accommodation Regulations, and safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
- Ability to meet Ofsted fitness and suitability requirements
- Experience supporting young people with complex or high-risk needs
- Experience with service development or new Ofsted registrations
- Experience delivering services to under-16s
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
- Additional safeguarding or management qualifications (desirable)
- A stable, senior leadership role within a growing organisation
