Brook Street Social Care is proud to be working in partnership with an established and valuesâdriven children's residential provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a brand new 4âbedded children's home in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and ambitious manager to play a pivotal role in setting up, registering, and developing a new service from the ground up, creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
As Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are met in line with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards. You will lead, inspire, and develop a committed staff team while ensuring positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:- Register the home with Ofsted and lead it through to a successful first inspection
- Provide strong, child-centred leadership and management
- Recruit, develop, and supervise a skilled residential care team
- Ensure safeguarding, care planning, and risk management are robust and effective
- Build positive relationships with placing authorities, professionals, and families
- Manage budgets, occupancy, and overall performance of the service
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced children's residential professional with a genuine passion for improving young people's lives.
Essential Criteria:- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Quality Standards
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Ability to confidently manage a new service through registration and growth
- Competitive salary of ÂŁ55,000 + dependent on experience
