Brook Street is delighted to be working with our client in Mallusk who are seeking to recruit a new full time and permanent Customs Brokerage Agent. Duties will involve Operations, Compliance and Customs Expertise and the candidate hired will follow the following specific areas relating to customs brokerage:
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service.
- Work within Imports and Customs brokerage department within a branch to ensure strong operational execution, customs compliance, efficiency, profitability, and continual growth.
- Adhere to national customs regulations - TSS and CDS Entry Submission.
- Follow company customs policies, controls, procedures and processes.
- Manage client specific requirements.
- Ensure that files are logged correctly and timely with proper event codes updated.
- Monitor and review post entry activity with brokerage supervisor.
- Ensure that discrepancies are monitored and resolved timely and correctly.
- Handle all correspondence within business unit timely and professionally.
- Escalate necessary issues to Customs Supervisor or District Manager.
Criteria:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year related customs experience.
- Global logistics industry knowledge.
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word).
- Must have GCSE Maths and English.
