DVSA - The primary aim of the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency is to promote road safety in Great Britain by improving driving standards.

Role Overview

To support the administration of the contract and operational documentation needed for the effective management of the Theory Test Service.

An excellent package is offered:

  • £12.21 per hour pay rate
  • Starting as soon as you have passed clearance checks until mid June 2025
  • Accrual of up to 33 days paid annual leave pro rata available (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5pm
  • This role will be based in Nottingham, fully onsite
  • Full training given

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the processing of TCN-raised incident and customer-related decisions that require DVSA approval.
  • Support the Contract / Operational Support Officer to produce KPI performance reports.
  • Support the routine service reporting by producing data and visualisations.
  • Support the routine financial reporting by producing data and visualisations.
  • Support the analysis of data reports to assist the operational and contractual management of the services.
  • Prepare invoices for sign off by senior manager.
  • Support the invoice reconciliation process.
  • Support team members with general administration duties, as required.
  • Deal with general enquiries, as required.
  • Provide secretariat support for Contract management Boards including the producing of outputs for circulation.

What are we looking for?

  • Confident in the use of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail especially with data entry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Comfortable liaising with all staff.

Candidate applying must be able to pass a clear Basic DBS check and provide proof of Right to Work in the UK.
