Are you motivated, creative and looking for a new challenge? We’re looking for a dynamic individual to lead on marketing and development at the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, West Yorkshire.
Haworth Parsonage is the former home of the Brontë family and the place where the world-famous novels Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall were written. As the Brontë Parsonage Museum, it houses the world’s largest collection of Brontë artefacts and welcomes over 70,000 visitors of all ages and backgrounds from all over the world each year. We are proud to be an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation and one of the top must-see destinations in Yorkshire.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the postholder will be responsible for driving visitor numbers and maximising revenue from ticket sales, retail, donations, membership subscriptions and fundraising initiatives. The Marketing & Development Officer will work closely with the Digital Engagement Officer to develop new and existing audiences by increasing reach, deepening engagement and instilling loyalty.
The Brontë Society has recently made significant investment in a new website, plus CRM, ticketing and e-commerce systems. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that these are used to their full potential, and so experience of Spektrix, Shopify or similar platforms will be an advantage.
