Bron Afon is seeking a highly experienced Risk Management Project Lead to deliver a focused, time-bound transformation of our risk management framework.

This role is 3 days a week.

Working closely with the Head of Governance and Assurance, you will play a critical role in strengthening risk governance, embedding a clear risk appetite, and enhancing risk reporting and assurance arrangements across the organisation. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, independence, and the ability to deliver at pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a comprehensive review and refresh of the organisation’s risk management framework
  • Support the development and embedding of a clear risk appetite across Board and Executive
  • Implement consistent, organisation-wide risk identification, assessment, and reporting processes
  • Strengthen risk reporting, insight and assurance to support high-quality decision-making
  • Embed a positive risk culture and build capability across the organisation

About You

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in risk, assurance, audit or governance roles
  • A strong track record of reviewing and improving risk frameworks in regulated environments
  • Experience of working with Boards and senior leadership teams
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to deliver tangible outcomes within tight timescales
