We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Governance working with the Exec Team and the Board to support the delivery of the corporate plan

As a member of the Senior Management Group (SMG), you will lead on the delivery of an effective Governance function and provide assurance oversight and professional guidance to the Executive Management Team (EMT) and Board.

You will prepare and ensure the delivery of strategies and frameworks that support the achievement of the Corporate Objectives and provide updates on regulatory standards of corporate governance to the Board and Committees.

Leading on horizon scanning and organisational risk management, you will maintain and enhance the risk management framework and oversee the internal audit programme ensuring internal audit is directly linked to the risk management framework.

About you

To be successful, we are looking for a qualified Company Secretary or someone with demonstrable experience in a regulated sector.

Youll have a wealth of current professional knowledge of the legal, regulatory and policy frameworks on which Housing Associations operate and will have experience in managing the risk and controls framework in a Housing Provider of similar size and complexity.

You will ideally have proven management experience with the skills to build a high performing team, demonstrating credibility, strong influencing and communication skills, personal drive and ambition to make a difference.
