We are looking for a Clerk of Works to join our team at bdht, where people are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

The Clerk of Works plays a key role in ensuring that all capital investment works carried out by contractors across our customers' homes and communities are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position is central to supporting safe, sustainable homes and enhancing residents' living conditions, in line with the organisation's values and strategic objectives. Combining technical expertise with a strong customer focus, the role ensures that all works meet agreed specifications, deliver value for money, and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for inspecting and assessing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring that planning, specifications, and delivery standards are fully adhered to by bdht's contractor partners. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors, you will drive quality, efficiency, and value for money across all projects.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience within the construction industry and ideally supported by a recognised trade background. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and will place customer satisfaction at the forefront of their approach at all times. You will also be proficient in the use of basic IT systems and confident in using handheld technology to accurately record and manage client information. An HNC/HND minimum in Building Construction or similar recognised qualification would be beneficial. The use of a current driving licence is a requirement for the post and essential car user allowance will be paid where applicable. The post holder will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Check at the Basic level.
