Job Introduction
Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. We are seeking two dedicated and proactive Members ICT Support Officers to join our team at Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils. The successful candidates will play a vital role in providing comprehensive ICT support services to the leaders and members of the council. The Members ICT Support Officers will be responsible for ensuring that Council members have access to reliable and efficient technology solutions to facilitate their work and communication between the hours of 11:30am and 7:30pm will provide out of hours support of members meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline ICT support to Council members, assisting with hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain ICT equipment, including computers, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and escalate complex problems to the appropriate support teams when necessary.
- Set up and maintain email accounts, user profiles, and access permissions for council members and staff.
- Collaborate with the ICT team to implement technology solutions and upgrades to meet the needs of Council members and improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver training and support sessions to Council members and staff on the use of ICT tools and applications.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies, safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications And Experience
- Proven experience in providing technical support in an ICT environment, preferably in a public sector setting.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, Windows Server), office productivity software (Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams), and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality ICT support services.
