Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are seeking an exceptional leader to join us as Acting Assistant Director for Corporate Services & Transformation (12-month fixed-term maternity cover) to help lead us through a significant period of change and opportunity as we transition from a shared services model into a Unitary Council.
As Acting Assistant Director for Corporate Services and Transformation, you will lead a wide-ranging portfolio spanning digital and ICT transformation, HR, organisational development, performance, engagement and policy – shaping how the organisation operates now and in the future. You will play a central role in driving strategic change across both councils, leading the organisation's approach to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and Devolution, and working closely with senior colleagues across seven authorities in Worcestershire, elected Members and regional partners. This is a unique opportunity to influence system-wide change and help shape the future structure and delivery of public services across Worcestershire.
