Do you have skills working as a Tissue Viability or Lymphoedema nurse? We are looking for a specialist practitioner to work with our small team of motivated, innovative clinicians. You will work within the Tissue Viability and/or Lymphoedema team to provide a high quality, patient focused service for patients presenting with Tissue Viability/leg ulceration or lymphoedema/chronic oedema/issues. Our Lymphoedema service is a head to toe service and treats both cancer and non-cancer related oedema. This role will involve active participation in complex patient assessment and management out in the community and in clinics.
Main duties of the job include:
- Providing a high quality, patient-focused service.
- Participating in complex patient assessment and management.
Qualifications and training:
- Essential criteria: Registered health care professional with degree, current professional registration, evidence of continuing professional development.
- Desirable criteria: Accredited Tissue Viability course, accredited course in leg ulcer management, chronic oedema course.
Experience:
- Essential criteria: Recent and proven experience in tissue viability/lymphoedema care and management, including wound care, leg ulceration, chronic oedema; experience of working in a community healthcare setting; proven experience of nurse led clinics.
- Desirable criteria: Experience of leadership in a lymphoedema/tissue viability setting.
Skills:
- Essential criteria: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to run and manage clinics; current UK Full, clean driving licence with daily access to a vehicle for work purposes; computer literate.
- Desirable criteria: EMIS literate.
