The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
We run our General Anaesthetic sessions from PRUH in Orpington, and we would expect the post holder to participate in these sessions when required. We aim to provide high quality dental care for our special needs patients and children who are referred into our service.
Responsibilities
- Join our Special Care Dental Service as an enthusiastic, flexible and competent Dental Nurse.
- Work across 5 sites in Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich; ideally be based at 1 or 2 sites regularly, with coverage of colleagues at different sites as needed.
- Make travel arrangements to meet the needs of the job and ensure availability across sites.
- Carry out domiciliary visits to meet patient needs in their own settings (homes, care/residential homes, and sometimes hospitals).
- Provide treatment under conscious sedation when required; any prior experience with conscious sedation is desirable.
Qualifications
- Appropriate qualification in Dental Nursing and registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Valid driving licence and access to a car (essential).
- Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, good organisational skills, IT skills and being a team player are integral to this post.
- Previous experience of working in CDS is desirable, but we are happy to train someone with the right aptitude and skills.
