Dental Nurse Band 4

Responsibilities

We run our General Anaesthetic sessions from PRUH in Orpington, and we would expect the post holder to participate in these sessions when required.

We aim to provide high quality dental care for our special needs patients and children who are referred into our service.

We carry out domiciliary visits to meet the needs of the patients in their own settings – homes, care/residential homes and sometimes hospitals, and we also provide treatment under conscious sedation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Appropriate qualification in Dental Nursing and registration with the General Dental Council.
• Excellent communication, compassion, empathy, organisational and IT skills, and a team player mindset.
• Valid driving licence and access to a car.
• Previous experience in Special Care Dental Service, particularly working with conscious sedation, is desirable.
• Previous experience of working in CDS is desirable, but we would be happy to train someone with the right aptitude and skills.
